MOT2007 thanks you all!

I’d like to say a special THANK YOU to everyone involved with MINIsOnTop 2007 - all the volunteers that worked to make it so successful, all the attendees, and everyone that supported our fund raising for Rosie’s Place by donating items for us to offer as prizes, or by buying raffle tickets or “door prize” tickets.
MINIsOnTop 2007 was extremely successful, with 257 MINIs and 520 people registered; even the weather was friendly this year, allowing a chance to take clear photographs from on top of Mount Washington! In total, 196 tickets were purchased for a chance to win the MINI Cooper lease donated by Herb Chambers MINI, and 189 tickets were purchased for the chance to win a trip to England donated by MINI of Peabody. More than 100 people chanced throwing six “COOPER” die to win a MINI Cooper outright, sponsored by New Country MINI (unfortunately no-one won!)
The MINI Cooper lease was won by Meg & Jeff - Meg owns a MINI and Jeff used to, so now he will have the chance to drive one again.
The Trip to England was won by Ivan who hopefully will share with his wife Norine - we look forward to a report from them when they return …

The combined total of raffle ticket sales, individual donations, and $1 “door prize” tickets sold on the day has raised $14,993 for Rosie’s Place!
This total does not include the $1,500 additional money already donated to Rosie’s Place, with checks written to Rosie’s Place and sent to MINIsOnTop.
MINIsOnTop hope to make a presentation to Rosie’s Place shortly, and we will of course have pictures on the MINIsOnTop website …

Throw “COOPER” and win a MINI!
The good folks at New Country MINI have invented a very unusual and potentially fabulous prize opportunity for this years MINIsOnTop: the “Roll-To-Motor” contest. Here’s how it works:
Each $5.00 (MINImum) Rosie’s Place donation ticket allows one roll of the six Roll to Motor dice. The six-sided dice have symbols on five of their facets; one facet has a letter. If, in one roll, all six dice land and spell the word “COOPER”, you win a $20,000 allowance toward the purchase of a new 2007 MINI! And, while this allowance will easily pay for a new, custom-ordered MINI Cooper, the winner can use it toward any new MINI and pay just the difference in price.
Of course, the lucky winner is responsible for the tax, title, license and insurance costs.
All funds raised by this event will go to Rosie’s Place, the MOT2007 charity.
Donation tickets will be available at the MINIs On Top Information Tent, but only 300 donation tickets will be sold for the first place, 2007 MINI - so you’d better be quick and get your chance before they’re all gone!

See the Oxford MINI factory with MINI of Peabody
MINI of Peabody has put together an amazing price for this years MINIsOnTop, to support Rosie’s Place - and tickets are now available:
A maximum of 250 tickets will be sold, at $25 each; the prize includes:
Round-trip airfare for two from Boston to London
Three nights first class hotel accommodation
Tickets for two to a London West End theatre production
Chaffeured transfer to/from the Oxford MINI factory, with a tour of the plant
The prize will be scheduled for fall 2007; exact dates tba.

The raffle will be drawn at the base of Mount Washington on June 16, 2007 - please note that although the raffle is open to all and there is no requirement to attend MINIsOnTop, the flights will be from/to Boston (transport to/from any other USA location is the responsibility of the winner).

Raffle tickets are available at $25 each (maximum of 250 tickets will be sold) and one lucky winner will win this two year lease of a car worth more than $21,000, spec’ed in MOT2007 style yellow/black with heated seats, sunroof and other excellent upgrades (see this earlier post for full details).
All proceeds raised by this raffle will go to the MOT2007 charity Rosie’s Place.

Once again for the third year running, Herb Chambers MINI of Boston will donate a two year lease of a brand new 2007 MINI Cooper, with MINIsOnTop selling raffle tickets to raise money for our selected charity, Rosie’s Place!
The car will be Mellow Yellow with black roof and bonnet stripes, matching the MOT2007 logo colors.

As in previous years, the donation from Herb Chambers MINI of Boston is of a two year (24 month), 10,000 miles/year lease, and does not include insurance, tax, title, or license fees. The winner must execute and terminate the lease at the Herb Chambers MINI of Boston location.
