I would like to attend when is registration

  • blalor

Registration will open in late Feburary or early March.

Hi Richard et al, just have one question now that I’ve seen the itenerary. My wife has to eat a gluten free diet; are there going to be GF options offered for Saturday’s meals (dinner, particularly)?

We are so excited for MoT, this will be our first and can’t wait!

do you have to be 18 to be a registered driver?

  • @smithboy43: The person registering and acknowledging waiver must be over 18. Anyone driving during the event of course needs to be legally licensed, and must comply with any new-driver restrictions.

Is the Attitash Grand Summit dog freindly and can dogs participate at the Mini on the top event

  • blalor

Hi, Joan. Attitash is not dog-friendly, unfortunately. There are a number of other places you can stay in the area that are (check the lodging page). Dogs are welcome at Loon on Saturday morning, but only in the parking area at the base of the Mt. Washington Auto Road, presumably due to health concerns with the food being served in the same place.

  • Joan – All of the rules from 2012 regarding dogs will apply again this year. You can see them in this post: http://minisontop.com/2012/06/11/dogs-at-mot2012/ (you may need to copy and padte that link – sorry.

What is the status on registration?

  • blalor

Per the announcement post, mid-to-late March.

  • Jeannie

    Hi,
Is there a scavenger hunt this year ?

  • Hi, Jeannie. No, there will not be a photo scavenger hunt this year.

  • Jen

    Hi RigStig (Scott & Katie),

I’m curious about the food, too. I require a gluten free diet as well (let’s sit together so we can stay away from crumbs!). Not sure about the status of GF friendly food. I’m vegan, too and usually stop here http://www.nhlocalgrocer.com/ to bring our own food. They have a lot of gf options. There are other great gf options as well in North Conway. Have you been here: http://www.raffertys.com/ gf pub food! ONION RINGS!

  • Jen, Scott & Katie,

Libby’s Bistro is providing the food under the tent this year and the options will be the same as the past few years – (1) vegetarian lasagna, (2) grilled chicken breast, and (3) pulled pork sandwiches. I believe the side dishes are typically garden salad, pasta salad, and a wedge of watermelon. Unfortunately, I don’t know much about gluten-free diets. If the food options above do not look like foods you can eat, I’d recommend picking something up prior to arriving at the base of Mt. Washington since no additional options will be added to the menu.

If there are people who have attended in years past who know more than me about eating gluten-free, please feel free to chime in.

    I hope this helps.

  • Jen

Thanks for the heads up Sarah.

Picking up something has always worked out for us. Otherwise I’d be eating lettuce and watermelon.

Hope Katie and Scott saw my links above, there are awesome gluten free options around and if they know of any that I didn’t mention I would like to learn of new ones.

  • RigStig

Hi Jen, we (finally) saw your post about a week ago. Didn’t realize there had been so much conversation regarding cuisine on this post. We will definitely be checking out your suggestions, as we’re always looking for GF foods wherever we go (we keep a cooler in the MINI for this very reason!) We would love to meet up, and are aware of at least one other attendee who is GF as well, and will reach out to her as we get closer to MoT. How should we plan to make contact; what’s your arrival plan for Attitash, if that’s where you’re staying?

Is there any place to hook up an RV nearby? My dad would like to attend, but he has special sleeping and eating arrangements that require the RV.

  • Melanie

    Hi Jen and Sarah,

The link to Raffertys is http://www.raffspub.com
The other link is to a chain in the South.
But WOW what a menu! That may be the only place I eat all weekend. They have things I haven’t been able to eat in a restaurant in a year since being diagnosed Celiac.
    Thanks,
    Melanie
