The online MINI world has changed a lot in the last seven years. Used to be that almost all the activity around MINIsOnTop was in the NY/NE region forum on MINI2. MINI2 has really quieted down, however (at least in our regional forum), and we’ve started seeing more and more-local forums like MMC, NEMINI, M|U, TotalMINI, and the list goes on. And that doesn’t even include the “new” social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. Outreach used to be a little easier in the days before all the diversification.
So, we’d like your help! In the comments below, please tell us about the forums, groups, clubs and other places (virtual and non) that you frequent and if there’s any MoT activity happening there. We’ll try to publish a list to make it easy for newcomers to find info pertinent to their favorite gathering place!

I am on Facebook often, and I think MoT should definitely have a presence there. It’s a great way to share pictures and information, announcements, etc., quickly.
I have both a personal and business page, and it’s great networking for the business.

I find myself on North American Motoring a lot.
We’ve already started a MOT2010 thread on NEMINI. As I’m sure you know, we always have a pretty good sized group from NEMINI at MOT…

I agree that there is a lot of “noise” out there… I find linking to a Facebook “group” the best way to keep in touch, especially if it helps me link directly to the group’s own dedicated website.
I still monitor MINI2, but I agree that Facebook might have more usable features.
And let’s not overlook our Twitter id — minisontop, of course.

Hudson Valley MINI site

There is a group of folks from the MINI Club of Western New York (WNY) that attend each year, and the information for this event is posted and discussed on that website.

Hudson Valley MINI has been doing a ton of promoting for the event, and are expecting quite a large group to attend. We have information on our site, but most communication is through our facebook group, fan page and twitter feed.
I will also be doing webcasts throughout the weekend for Miniology, so I know there is MOT info on that site as well
