Registration packs

[this message was sent out by email to every registrant - if you didn’t receive it, check your spam filtering, then contact me to check your email address]

I’ve had a number of new-to-MINIsOnTop registrants ask me about details of events over the weekend, whether anything will be mailed out, etc.
This weekend, a number of MINIsOnTop organizers / volunteers will put together more than 250 registration packs, which will then be mailed out as fast as the local post office can handle them, next week. You should expect to receive your registration pack by June 5th.

Your registration pack will contain any Tshirts, food tickets and auto road passes that you’ve purchased.
Every registration pack will contain the following:

  • “MOT booklet” - a handy guide to all the events of MINIsOnTop, as well as fascinating local information
  • “car tag” - sheet of paper with your MOT registration number, and driver / passenger names. Please display on the dash of your car at all times during MOT, so everyone knows who you are
IMPORTANT: You must display the car tag in order to be allowed to park at the base of Mount Washington!
  • “name tags” - adults will get a printed name card along with a lanyard to hold it; these lanyards have been generously donated by MINI USA!
children (under 12 as indicated on your registration), to avoid risk of entanglement, will have printed self-adhesive stickers
  • “route directions” - directions from Gorham to Loon on Saturday morning, and directions for the three drives from Loon
Also included, a set of driving guidelines - be a courteous MINI driver!
  • “concours d’Elegance” voting form - write in the registration number for the car of your choice in each category. Be sure to consider participating and putting your car in the concours … there will be an award for Peoples Choice!
  • “yellowhats guide” - pictures of all the “Yellow Hat” volunteers that pull this event together; ask any one of them for help
  • “door prize tickets” - a set of tickets to put in the bucket and try to win a donated prize; check the booklet for a list of prizes and the donating companies
  • “tourist info guides” - local information / maps (including details on discounts available at the nearby outlet shops)
  • Probably some other stuff I’ve forgotten …

But I definitely have not forgotten: The MOT2007 unique “freebie” … hope you like it.

Remember:
On Friday evening, and on Saturday, there will be a chance to purchase $25 raffle tickets for either the Herb Chambers MINI Cooper Lease or the MINI of Peabody Trip To England. Also available will be the chance to purchase die throws for the chance to win a MINI outright, courtesy of New Country MINI.
You can also buy extra “door prize” tickets for just $1 each - fill the bucket to maximize your chance of winning the prize you want!
There will also be a small overstock of Tshirts for sale on the day, as well as MINIsOnTop hats and grille badges (and extras of the MOT2007 “freebie” if you want more than one!)

Finally:
The Saturday evening gathering will cost $12/head, which pays the Town & Country Inn for the buffet they will provide, and the live band. Please consider joining us after “coming down from the top” - you can buy wristbands which will allow you in to the room.

All purchase-able items can be found under the MOT tent (look for the banner).
